Responsive NDT Employee Qualification Quadruple in Radiography

Recently, Responsive NDT based at our Lillyhall facility has had a course running for our apprentices that are studying radiography PCN Level 2, as part of their NVQ Level 3.

All 4, Lisa Grears, Gary Linford, Ellis Selkirk and Rikki Tweedie have been studying within the workplace and in their own time, for an NVQ Level 3 within Non Destructive Testing for the previous 2 years, which is almost at completion with only months to go. During that time, they will have achieved not only the NVQ, but 3 industry required professional qualifications in NDT being Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Radiography, allowing them to immediately start honing their new found skills.

We are pleased to announce that all 4 passed with flying colours and are now additional resource to our already qualified radiography team at Responsive.

At the same time, additional qualifications were gained by Tony Lister, manager of our mechanical test house facility Responsive Mechanical Testing in Whitehaven in Radiographic Interpretation and Rikki Dillon for Basic Radiation Safety.

In numbers, this means that Responsive Non Destructive Testing has a combined radiography resource of 8 fully trained and experienced operatives working in West Cumbria and Manchester.

Responsives current training / apprenticeship program has 4 NVQ Level 3 studying Non Destructive Testing, 2 NVQ Level 3 studying a range of Business Administration and Human Resources and 1 NVQ Level 5 Studying Non Destructive Testing.

We allow all of our staff to progress and in previous times staff have managed to become directors. It is in our blood to look after the next generation.

Recently, Responsive have also gained additional accreditation for Safe Contractor status after successful audit allowing additional work fronts on sites around the UK.
